About Us

Timber Run’s clubhouse is one of the largest, most dramatic log structures found in Ontario, with 6400 square feet on the main floor and 3000 more in the loft.
Timber Run is the direct result of the imagination and determination of owner Bill Neilson.
Bill designed much of the building with the help of “Herbie” Roberts. Herbie has gained the reputation of “A Master Log Builder” having created some of the most notable log structures in Eastern Ontario, and one of his log structures built in the Country of Ireland, in a town called Edenderry.
First, Herbie built a model to scale, and then he and Bill improvised as they went along. One of the most notable “Improvisations” was the addition of the 14-sided Gazebo to the clubhouse. Bill literally dreamed the design and the marked it out in the snow with his footprints. Herbie said “well lets build her before the pattern melts”.
